Lucca's Pizzeria And Market Information

Tucked away in the vibrant heart of San Diego, Lucca's Pizzeria And Market on Station Village Way is a true gem for anyone craving authentic Italian flavors with a modern twist. This charming spot offers a blend of mouth-watering pizzas, hearty pastas, and fresh market finds, making it an ideal choice for casual dining or a quick bite during your day out in the city.

The first thing that strikes you when you walk into Lucca's is the warm, welcoming vibe. The space is cozy but inviting, with a blend of rustic decor that instantly makes you feel at home. Whether you're grabbing a seat with friends or enjoying a solo meal, the relaxed atmosphere is perfect for unwinding. The bustling counter service is always efficient, making it a great stop for both quick takeout or a more leisurely sit-down experience.

When it comes to the menu, Lucca’s doesn’t hold back. Their pizza selection is nothing short of impressive, with options that range from classic Margherita to more inventive choices like the Prosciutto and Arugula pizza, topped with thinly sliced prosciutto and a fresh handful of peppery arugula. Each pizza is baked to perfection in a wood-fired oven, giving it that signature crispy crust that’s just the right balance of chewy and crunchy. And don't get me started on their homemade sauce - rich, tangy, and full of flavor. If you’re a fan of traditional Italian pies, you’re in for a treat.

Pasta lovers will also feel right at home here. Lucca's offers a variety of freshly made pastas, from the comforting fettuccine alfredo to the more adventurous seafood pasta dishes. The garlic bread that accompanies each pasta is another highlight, crispy on the outside but soft and buttery on the inside - perfect for dipping in any leftover sauce. It’s the kind of food that hits all the right spots, satisfying your cravings without overwhelming your taste buds.

What sets Lucca's apart, though, is their market. It's not just a place to pick up a meal but a local destination for high-quality ingredients. From fresh produce to gourmet cheeses and meats, it’s a one-stop shop for anyone who wants to take a little bit of Lucca’s home. You can even grab a bottle of wine or a jar of their homemade marinara sauce to recreate the experience in your own kitchen.

The service here is always friendly and efficient, with staff that are knowledgeable about the menu and happy to offer recommendations. Whether you're a regular or a first-timer, you’ll feel like part of the family as soon as you walk through the door.

All in all, Lucca's Pizzeria And Market offers a memorable dining experience that combines authentic flavors, a relaxed atmosphere, and a touch of local charm. Whether you're in the mood for a pizza, pasta, or a quick market run, this spot has something for everyone.

What People's Say About Place

Food was fantastic, the owners were very pleasant and welcoming. Beautifully organized store. 10/10 would come again! And I did! There is also a dessert/breakfast shop within the pizza shop, so you can kill two birds with one stone.

At first I was skeptical as there was no real service, just one man working at the shop, no waiter. My Dad had recommended we come. Placed the order at the register and sat down. Ordered an Italian sandwich a pizza and a pasta dish. I have to say, it's the best sandwich I have ever had. The though was on point and the ingredients fresh. More arugula please, in all honesty it has a more than generous portion. Pizza was on point and the pasta sauce delicious. It's for sure a takeout place. And highly recommended!

Kouklas Café is a charming little spot that instantly feels warm and inviting. The ambiance was lovely and beautiful. We tried the Breakfast Tower, which was beautifully presented and full of fresh, flavorful ingredients. For drinks, we enjoyed a Pistachio Rose Latte (floral and nutty in the best way), a Caramel Latte (smooth and perfectly sweet), and a comforting Chai Latte with just the right amount of spice. We were so full from breakfast that we decided to take some of their tempting pastries to go, so we could enjoy them later. Their coffee, food, and pastries all shine, and the staff’s warmth makes the visit even better.

Visited Kouklas Cafe for the first time today with my sisters. This cafe is located inside the Lucca’s pizza shop. I have been seeing this cafe for a while now on instagram and the IG posts did not lie, the cafe, the music and the ambiance are super cute. We ordered shakshuka, lahmajun, French toast and coffee of course. The taste of the food surprisingly was very good. The price of the food was a little on the pricey side but thankfully everything we ordered was delicious. The coffee decor is so girly with the flower petals and butterflies. The cafe is small however they have a patio seating as well. I think the owner was this nice lady with short dark hair, she was very welcoming. I liked everything about this place however I wish they would put some type of short wall between the cafe and the pizza area as the pizzeria section takes away from the cuteness of the cafe. Other than that I loved this place and would definitely recommend it to all of my family and friends.

My best friend and I visited Lucca’s Pizzeria and Market and Kouklas Cafe to celebrate her birthday, and Boss and Mary went above and beyond to make it special. The food was absolutely delicious—truly authentic and full of flavor—and their warm hospitality made us feel like family. We’re so grateful for their kindness and can’t wait to return on every trip to San Diego. Highly recommend!

The food is great but the hospitality is everything. Mary and Basim are the best hosts. Always friendly, always smiling. My friend got the meatball calzone and I got the Tucson pizza. Not only was it pretty on the eyes but the perfect blend of sweet and heat (for the Tucson) 10/10 highly recommend

Amazing all around, the customer service is heartfelt and inviting. The food is made fresh with quality ingredients and is handled with care & respect. The pizza has a very light crush which I enjoy so you won’t feel like you’ve just eaten a brick or feel like your jaw muscles need a steroid injection just to eat it lol. They have a very large selection of drinks, deserts, etc! I recommend you come and give them a try I promise you won’t be disappointed!

A unique place with excellent food and desserts and very cozy atmosphere! Lots of parking spots around too. Got the pesto pasta, highly recommended! Homemade pasta and desserts from the owners! Go check it out!
